ARREST - HEDNESFORD

#OpLightning | This electrically powered Surron e-bike was seen by our officers in Hednesford near a current hotspot for drug dealing. 

The bike made off from officers, but was located in Cannock around an hour later, where a dynamic pre-emptive tactical stop was carried out. 

Two males were detained from the bike, which was also seen driving through red lights and across footpaths near Cannock train station, where pedestrians were walking. 

These bikes are a menace to our local areas, and it remains one of the most persistently raised issues brought to us.

 Fortunately, today we were able to take dynamic positive action. This was clearly to the approval of locals getting of the 16:30 train, who cheered and clapped the officers support of our actions.

The rider was arrested for drug driving and other offences. The Surron was seized and will be destroyed.
